Last April, the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MassCEC) launched a program in several towns called Solarize Massachusetts. Under the program, residents and businesses of Harvard, Hatfield, Scituate and Winchester joined together to get lower prices on solar power through bulk purchasing. 162 residents and businesses have taken advantage of the program already, to the tune of 829 kW of solar PV in the four towns. Results like this should allow the program to flourish and continue to grow Massachusetts’ solar industry!
