Delaware Solar Panel Installation
Utilities are eager to work with new Delaware solar panel installations because those installations will help the utilities meet their Renewables Portfolio Standard (RPS) goals. In 2005, Delaware state legislation created a RPS requiring 10% of electric utilities’ power to be generated from renewable sources by 2020. Since it was passed, that 10% goal has been raised twice and now sits at 25% – including 3.5% from solar electricity – making Delaware an up-and-coming player in the world of solar panel installation.
While Delaware solar financing options are limited, the state’s Green Energy Program is the backbone of an improving array of Delaware solar rebates and incentives that helps make home solar power affordable.
