With overwhelming bipartisan support, Connecticut’s congress passed an energy overhaul bill in June 2011. The bill requires 30 megawatts of new solar electricity to be installed in the residential sector by the end of 2022. The state’s Clean Energy Finance and Investment Authority (CEFIA) will regulate the new PV rollout and offer financial incentives to qualifying residential Connecticut solar installations.
