From EV to PV in San Diego County
John G. of Oceanside, California jumped on the chance to participate in BMW’s trial program for its new electric vehicle (EV), the ActiveE. He discovered that while actually driving an EV doesn’t feel much different from driving a gas-powered car, the overall experience of using one does. “I drive by gas stations, don’t have to stop or think about gas prices, and I get home and plug in. That is a ‘wow’ experience. Everyone is looking at gas prices, but not me anymore – I know what I’m paying per kilowatt-hour.”
As John got used to charging his electric vehicle at his San Diego County home, a home solar system began to make more and more sense. So when he discovered the BMW-Real Goods Solar partnership offering home solar at a huge discount for ActiveE lessees, he jumped on that too, immediately scheduling a free home solar consultation. From there it was a breeze, and John couldn’t be happier with his Southern California home solar system.
“The installation team was kind, cordial, did all the things they needed to do, and asked permission for everything. They were very professional. I also asked for pigeon proofing on the system and it was included with no hassle at no extra charge. When the inspector came around, he didn’t have to do anything – not even get on the roof. It was an excellent, top notch experience!”
