The Outside Solar Sales Consultant generates sales proposals and presentations to a wide array of customers. She/he will manage sales activities to ensure a robust pipeline of prospective clients selling the unique benefits of our solar electricity systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide in-home consultation to prospective customers, assisting in the generation of system design and site plans
- Utilize online tools and conduct preliminary site evaluations to develop an initial system design which provides the customer with a visual example of how a solar system will look in his/her home
- Responsible for post-installation follow-up to ensure satisfaction of customers
- Proactive networker, responsible for generating business
- Manage and develop a pipeline of contacts and opportunities within an assigned territory
- Strong technical acumen, including technical and economic aspects of solar and other high-tech products and services
- Drive revenue to achieve goals. Highly confident and goal oriented. Self–starting with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously and independently
- Create professional sales proposals
- Other duties as necessary to ensure sales production quota is achieved
- Thrive in quota-driven environment
- Maintain necessary reporting metrics in Salesforce.com
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum two years face-to-face solar or related sales experience
- Strong presentation skills and the ability to speak to home and business owners about the benefits of solar
- Professional appearance
- Energetic, positive, enthusiastic, self-directing and a team player
- Can work a variety of hours including evenings and weekends
- Computer savvy
- Excellent deal closer
- Passion for green energy – specifically solar electric system sales
Physical Demands:
- Employee must be able to walk customer’s property which may include varying terrain
- Employee must be able to carry up to 20 pounds of equipment including: solar analysis device, laptop, printer, and binder
- Employee may take measurements from ground using telescoping solar analysis device
