Title Site Supervisor

Location Providence, RI

A construction supervisor is the backbone of the construction portion of a project. Supervisors are responsible for maintaining the daily progress goals, ensuring site safety is maintained according to the safety plan, ensuring installation quality is monitored during the entire construction period, and communicating to Project Manager. Typically, a Site Supervisor does not actually perform any construction himself but is in charge of validating work performed by others. A Site Supervisor must be versed in various construction trades so that they may accurately inspect and evaluate the multiple scope elements on a project. The Site Supervisor will be responsible for our territory in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast United States (CT, DE, MA, NH, NJ, NY, PA, RI and VT).
Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in pre-project planning and development
  • Monitor safety plan implementation
  • Evaluate workmanship and quality
  • Ensure project schedule is being met
  • Review plan discrepancies in the field
  • Coordinate activities between subcontractors
  • Resolve any disputes which may arise on the job site
  • Arrange, schedule and conduct key project meetings
  • Oversee all field teams and installation progress

Essential Qualifications:

  • 3 years of construction management related experience; solar industry experience preferred
  • Knowledge of commercial construction including practices and sequence of work
  • Knowledge of construction contracts, subcontracts, and the bid process
  • Ability to manage budgets and schedules
  • Experience managing subcontractors
  • NABCEP certification preferred
