Title Financial Analyst

This role must manage multiple priorities, and must possess time management skills as well as strong analytical, quantitative and organizational skills. This position must initiate action, maintain high standards of quality and make informed decisions. The Analyst reports to the VP of Finance and has no direct reports. The Analyst must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills as well as the ability to gain the respect and trust of the company’s management and constituents. This position interacts with all levels of employees throughout the company including Accounting, Treasury, Financial Planning and Analysis, Legal and HR. Interaction with outside entities is also key. This position relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Determines financial status by comparing and analyzing plans and forecasts with actual results
  • Improves financial status by analyzing results and variances, identifying trends, and recommending actions
  • Reconciles transactions by comparing and correcting data
  • Increases productivity by developing automated applications, eliminating duplications, and coordinating information requirements
  • Provides information to management by assembling and summarizing data, preparing reports, and making presentations of findings, analyses, and recommendations
  • Supports daily analysis of cash/investment balances as needed. Assists with cash forecasts and multi-year modeling as needed.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree Accounting or Finance required with an MBA and/or CPA highly preferred
  • Minimum five years working experience, preferably in finance or accounting
  • Must possess expert Excel skills. Understanding of all other MS Office applications desired.
