Responsibilities vary, but include: installing commercial solar PV system; installing and troubleshooting DAS hardware and software; and testing and commissioning. While direct experience in PV systems is preferred, experience in installation, service and troubleshooting of DAS and SCADA will provide a sufficient base.
Key Responsibilities:
- CA State Licensed Journeyman Electrician
- Ability to install entire electrical systems, including conduit, wire, equipment, etc.
- Troubleshooting DAS systems
- Frequent travel required
- Perform routine maintenance, repair and firmware revisions on power conditioning systems (inverters) of all makes and models
- Inspect large-scale solar energy facilities for proper installation, operation and maintenance
- Commission large-scale solar energy facilities, including but not limited to insulation testing (megger testing), I-V curve testing, thermal imagery, torque tests and performance evaluations
- Troubleshoot PV system ground faults
- Troubleshoot PV system performance issues
Essential Qualifications:
- Minimum 4 years commercial electrical experience
- CA journey electrical certification required
- Experience with commercial PV systems preferred
- Experience with firmware upgrade procedures
- DAS installation and troubleshooting experience highly preferred
- Strong organizational and troubleshooting skills
